Here at Heath we really value the support of our volunteers, and we actively encourage parents and carers to get involved in their children's education. Please see below for current opportunities to volunteer at school. 

Reading Volunteers

One of our aims at Heath is to instil a love of reading into every child, whatever their current reading ability. Reading brings a myriad of benefits, including improved memory, better sleep, enhanced vocabulary, lower stress levels and greater wellbeing.

We would love for every child in the school to read to an adult at least once a week. Unfortunately, there just isn’t time in the school day for the teachers and TAs to so this, but we do have a wonderful team of adult volunteers who come to school to help.

We are looking to expand this team so that even more children can read to an adult. If you have an hour a week, or even a fortnight, we would be very grateful to hear from you.
